Burn ban in effect

The Donley County Commissioners’ Court enacted a burn ban during a called meeting Monday morning.

The ban prohibits the burning of trash, controlled burns, and open pit fires. It does not include barbecue grills.

The county says the ban will be in effect until the next session of the commissioners’ court and may be extended if necessary.
