Breast cancer screening coming to Clarendon  

The Women’s Center of the Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Center will conduct a Breast Cancer Screening Clinic at the Medical Center Nursing Home, located on Hwy. 70 North, in Clarendon on August 20, 2001.

Breast cancer affects one in eight women. The key to winning the battle against cancer is early detection by having an annual breast exam, mammogram, and performing a breast self-exam each month.

Participants will receive a low-cost screening mammogram.

Each woman screened will receive a breast health risk appraisal and individual instruction by a registered nurse in breast self-examination. 

Funding is available through the Texas Department of Health for Texas residents who qualify for assistance. All exams are by appointment only.
