Donley County bans burning

Donley County Commissioners enacted a county-wide burn ban during the court’s regular meeting Monday.

The ban prohibits the burning of trash, controlled burns, and open pit fires but does not include barbecue grills.

The ban will remain in effect until the court’s next session and may be extended if dry conditions continue. Violators will be prosecuted.
