Albino
Olivarez of Dee Brown, Inc., points the brickwork on top of the
conical tower as part of the restoration of the 1890 Donley County
Courthouse. The work on the exterior of the building is proceeding
at a brisk pace following approval from the Texas Historical
Commission last week to lower the two northern most chimneys by
2’8”. The chimneys’ original height of 25’ above the
roofline was deemed unsafe by the project architect and a structural
engineer.
