Graham accepts

'no contest' plea on DWI

By Roger Estlack, Clarendon Enterprise

Donley County Hospital District Administrator Alan Graham pled no contest to a charge of Driving While Intoxicated last Thursday, according to documents filed in the county clerk’s office.

County Judge Jack Hall found Graham guilty, issued a $750 fine, and ordered him to pay $226 in court costs. Hall also handed down a sentence of three days in jail and gave the defendant credit for time served.

Graham was arrested for DWI on March 2 after he responded to an accident as a volunteer driver for the local ambulance service. He has since resigned as a volunteer. A subsequent investigation by the Texas Department of Health, which regulates the ambulance service, took no action against the local service.

County officials declined to comment on the case.
