Junior livestock show to be Saturday

Local FFA and 4-H members will exhibit their animals in the 2006 Donley County Junior Livestock Show this Saturday.

The show will begin at 8 a.m. with the lamb and goat show followed by the heifer, steer, and swine shows. A premium auction will be held following the buyers’ appreciation dinner at 6 p.m.

Raising a livestock project not only teaches youth about hard work but also increases their learning skills of leadership, responsibility, finance, nutrition management, and good sportsmanship.

The public is invited to support these youth at the show and auction. To make a contribution before the auction, contact County Agent Leonard Haynes at 874-2141.
