CC alumni announce plans for 68th reunion

The 68th Annual Clarendon College Ex-Students Reunion is scheduled for Saturday, April 22.

The reunion is open to all current and former students, faculty, regents, and supporters of Clarendon College.

The classes being recognized this year are 1956, 1966, 1976, 1981, and 1986.

Registration for the reunion will start at 10 a.m. in the Bairfield Activity Center. All Alumni are invited to enjoy brunch during the registration period.  Donations will be taken for the brunch.

Campus tours will be available during this time.  If you would like to participate in the Silent Auction, remember to bring your items with you when you register.

A business meeting will be held in the BAC from 11:30 a.m. to noon followed by a break for lunch at a restaurant of your choice.

At 2:00 p.m. reunion attendees are invited to attend a matinee of “Kiss or Make Up,” performed by the CC Theater Department, in the Harned Sisters Fine Arts Center Auditorium.

A reception for all honor classes will be held at the Vera Dial Dickey Library on the college campus at 5:00 p.m.

The Alumni Banquet and Silent Auction will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the BAC.

Austin attorney and 1956 CC graduate Broadus Spivey will be the featured speaker at this year’s banquet.

The Distinguished Alumnus Award winners will be announced at this time. Other awards will go to ex-students who have traveled the greatest distance and those from the earliest and most recent classes.

CC’s outstanding current students will also be honored.

The cost of banquet tickets is $10 if registered before April 10, or $15 at the door.
