Graveside Services for Lillie Mae Hughes, age 68, of Howardwick were held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2000, at Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with Rev. Truman Ledbetter, Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Clarendon, officiating.  Arrangements were made by Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc., of Clarendon.

Mrs. Hughes died Tuesday June 6, 2000, in Amarillo.  She was born August 22,1931 in Samnorwood, Texas.  She was a resident of Plainview for 20 years, then Slaton for three years before moving to Howardwick 10 years ago.  She had worked as a secretary and clerk in several different businesses throughout her life before retiring.  Mrs. Hughes was also member of the Baptist Church.
