Leeper
Funeral services for Bobby Ray Leeper, age 48, was held at
3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2000, in the Clarendon Church of
Christ with Mike Suiter, Minister of the San Jacinto Church of
Christ in Amarillo, Tim Walker, Minister of the Mary Ellen &
Harvester Church of Christ in Pampa, Rev. Bryan Knowles, Baptist
Minister from Clarendon, and George Hayes of Georgia, officiating.
Burial with full military honors was held at Citizens
Cemetery under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc.
Mr. Leeper died Sunday, July 16, 2000, in Amarillo.
He was born November 26, 1951, in Groom and was raised in
Clarendon. He married
Lacreta Burgess on July 10, 1970, at Brice.
He was retired from the US Army where he was an MP for 22
years. He was a member
of the NCO Association and the 25th MP Organization.
He was a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado, for six
years before moving to Pampa five years ago.
He was a member of the Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of
Christ in Pampa.
Survivors include his wife, Lacreta Leeper of Pampa; one
daughter and son-in-law, Nika & Doug Roser of Shreveport,
Louisiana; one son, Neil Leeper of Pampa; two grandchildren, Kelsi
Leeper of Pampa, and Cole Roser of Shreveport, Louisiana; his
mother, Theola Leeper of Clarendon; his grandmother, Eunice Leeper
of Clarendon; one sister, Nita Ellis of Clarendon; one brother, Mike
Leeper of Littleton, Colorado; five nieces; and four nephews.
Casket bearers were Ike O’Neal, Arvia Willingham, Duane
Nichols, Bryan Leeper, Danny Hill, and Jim Shadle.
