Funeral services for Maya Rose Gillespie, infant, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2000, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart with Pastor Leon Laney, Spiritual Life Center in Dalhart, under the direction of Hass Funeral Home in Dalhart.

Maya died Wednesday, July 12, 2000, in Dumas.

Survivors include her parents Bryan and Janaé Gillespie of Dalhart; sister, Mackenzie Farmer of Dalhart; grandparents, Sandra Gillespie of Hedley, and Jerry and Rose Llewellyn of Dalhart; great grandparents, Edith Reno of Jenks, OK, Lois Watson of Dalhart, Bert and Bobbey Blankenship of Amarillo, and Carolyn Bacca of American Fork, UT; and uncles, Lonnie Brewer and wife, Susan, of Lexington, MD, Curtis Brewer and wife, Emma, of Lefors, Christopher Brewer of Hedley, and Tyler Llewellyn of Dalhart.
