Sanders 

Funeral services for Gene Sanders, age 60, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2000, at Robertson Chapel of Memories in Clarendon with Rev. Ned Creswell, Episcopal Minister from Amarillo, officiating.  Burial was held in Rowe Cemetery in Hedley under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc.

Mr. Sanders died Saturday, October 28, 2000, in Amarillo.  He was born October 8, 1940, in Groom, Carson County, Texas.  He was a resident of Dimmitt before moving to Amarillo 17 years ago.  He was the owner of Artisan Fence Company and was a Baptist.

Survivors include two daughters, Renee Thomas and Lisa Hill, both of Childress; and five grandchildren.

Casket bearers were John Mott, Joe Thurman, Hal House, and Jerry Jones.
