Hewett

Funeral services for Bobby Glenn Hewett, age 63, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2001, in Robertson Chapel of Memories with Rev. Bill Hodges, Pastor of the Clarendon Church of the Nazarene, officiating.  Burial was held in Citizens Cemetery under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc.

Mr. Hewett died Thursday, January 18, 2001, in Amarillo.  He was born November 4, 1937, in Clarendon and was a lifetime resident of Clarendon.  He married Barbara Lea Jacobs on October 19, 1962, at Clarendon.  He was a truck driver for many years and was a supervisor for Allsups Convenience Stores for 17 years before his retirement.  He was a US Navy Veteran and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clarendon.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Hewett of Clarendon; one daughter, LaDonna Campbell of Addison; two sons, Jeff Hewett of Howardwick and Darren Hewett of Clarendon; three sisters, Jeanita Wallace of Fort Worth, Barbara Brown of Amarillo, and LaRea Short of Amarillo; and four grandchildren.

Casket bearers were Russell Keown, Steve Sell, Jim Robinson, Jack Burton, Cecil Short, and Charles Brown.
