Castleberry

Funeral services for Cora Nell Castleberry, age 87, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2001, in Robertson Chapel of Memories with Bright Newhouse, Minister of the Hedley Church of Christ, officiating.  Burial was held in Citizens Cemetery under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc., of Clarendon.

Mrs. Castleberry died Saturday, February 24, 2001, in Amarillo.  She was born April 2, 1913, in Callahan County, Texas, and had lived in Clarendon for more than 60 years, moving to Clarendon from Alanreed.  She married Olin Aaron Castleberry on January 6, 1943, at McLean.  He preceded her in death on June 25, 192.  She was employed at the Clarendon College Cafeteria for several years before her retirement.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Clarendon Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Brinson of Hedley and Sue Martin of Iowa Park; one son, Olin Castleberry, Jr., of Amarillo; one sister, Velma Castleberry of Amarillo; a sister-in-law, Helen McDonald of Amarillo; three grandchildren, Keith Brinson, Ricky Brinson, and Mark Brinson; and three great grandchildren, Linsey Brinson, Chris Brinson, and Jeffrey Brinson.

Casket bearers were Bill Stavenhagen, K.W. Kambright, Clark Watson, D.D. Lofton, Todd Stavenhagen, and Clint Babcock.
