Holland
Funeral
services for Otis S. Holland, age 72, were held at 10:30 a .m. on
Wednesday, February 28, 2001, in the First Baptist Church in Hedley with
Rev. Bruce Howard, Pastor, and Rev. Lewis Ellis, Pastor of the First
Baptist Church in Lefors, officiating.
Burial was held in Rowe Cemetery in Hedley under the direction of
Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc., of Clarendon.
Mr.
Holland died Monday, February 26, 2001, in Memphis. He was born September 24, 1928, in Hall County, Texas, and
came to Donley County in 1942. He
married Margaret Louise Webster on July 11, 1970, at Hedley. He had worked as a heavy equipment operator at various places
for most of his life before retirement.
He had been a member of the Hedley Lions Club and was a US Army
Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He
was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hedley where he had served as
a deacon, church treasurer, and Sunday School teacher.
Casket
bearers were Darrin Clendennen, Terry Baggett, Brannon Stephens, Douglas
Bolin, Brent Baten, Rodney Marr, Tracey Barton, and Randy Wagner.
Honorary bearers were Doyle Clendennen, Doyle Baggett, Ronnie
Bolin, Henry Stephens, and Mike Chilton.
