Thomason

Funeral services for Annie Capps Thomason, age 87, were held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2001, in the Clarendon Church of Christ with Bryan Gochenour, Minister, and Greg Beall, Associate Minister, officiating. Burial was held in Citizens Cemetery under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc.

Mrs. Thomason died Tuesday, March 27, 2001, in Amarillo. She was born January 7, 1914, in Tucumcari, New Mexico, to Fred and Nettie (Hudson) Capps. She was a Wellington resident from 1920 until moving to Clarendon in 1961. She married Frank Lonzo Thomason on January 1, 1933, at Hollis, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on February 24, 1992. She was a homemaker and a member of the Clarendon Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred Hudson Capps in 1920 and Arthur Capps in 1974.

Survivors include two daughters, Renee Duncan of Clarendon and Vivian Lee Phelps of Houston; two sisters, Nova Springer of Bedford and Nola Gardner of Salinas, California; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
