Garrison

Graveside services for Ruby Geraldine Garrison, age 77, were held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2002, in Citizens Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Howard, Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Hedley, officiating. Burial was held in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc., of Clarendon.

Mrs. Garrison died Thursday, January 31, 2002, in Amarillo. She was born December 30, 1924, in Roby, Texas, and was a resident of Shallowater before moving to Clarendon in 1969. She married C.W. Garrison on March 17, 1941, at San Angelo. He preceded her in death in 1983. She was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Clarendon.

She was preceded in death by a son, Wesley Ordell Garrison, in 1977 and by eight brothers and sisters.

Survivors include two daughters, Dobie Hill of Lubbock and Sandi Bell of California; three sons, Donald Ray Garrison of Omaha, Nebraska, Mack Garrison and Mitchell Wayne Garrison, both of Clarendon; one brother, Richard Wayne Nichols of Claypool, Arizona; two sisters, Grace Morehead of Roswell, New Mexico, and Deloris Goss of Corpus Christi; 22 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
