Hatchett

Ruth H. Jones Hatchett, age 96, of Hershey, Pennsylvania, and formerly of Oklahoma City, died Monday, August 18, 2003, in Country Meadows of Hershey.

Mrs. Hatchett was born July 17, 1907, in Sunnyside, Kansas.  She was the daughter of the late Lester and Flora Norton Bridenstine.  She was a homemaker and had worked for Sears Robuck in Salina, Kansas, and Oklahoma City.  She was a member of Colonial Park Community Baptist Church in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and the Portland Avenue Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.  She was very active in the Good Samaritan Club at Country Meadows of Hershey.

Survivors include her daughter, Juanita Barley of Hershey; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her late husbands, Walter Jones and Roy Hatchett; a son, Roy Jones; a daughter, Janice Witt; and two grandsons.

Memorial services were held on Wednesday, August 20, 2003, at 7:00 p.m. in the Colonial Park Community Baptist Church in Harrisburg.  Committal services will be held Saturday, August 23, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in Rowe Cemetery in Hedley, Texas.
