Stark

Funeral services for Derelle Patten Stark, age 102, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2004, in the First Presbyterian Church in Clarendon with Rev. Bryan Knowles, Pastor of Community Fellowship Church, officiating.  Burial was held with Eastern Star graveside rites in Citizens Cemetery under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc., of Clarendon.

Mrs. Stark was born October 15, 1901, in Alba, Texas, and had been a resident of Clarendon most of her adult life.  She married Leon Heckle Stark on April 29, 1920, in Clarendon.  He preceded her in death on May 6, 1998. She was a member of the Clarendon Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 6 for more than 50 years and was the Past Worthy Matron from 1948 to 1949.  She was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include one sister, Wilma Warr of Burley, Idaho.

Casket bearers were Trey Chamberlain, Chris Chamberlain, Doug Lowe, Fred Clifford, Bill Lowe, Maurice Risley, Dr. Charles Deyhle, Sr., and Billy Powell. Honorary bearers were members of the Clarendon Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 6.
