McAnear

Funeral services for Connee Marie McAnear, age 52, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 17, 2005, in the Lifeway Fellowship Baptist Church in Amarillo with Dr. Randy Davis, Pastor, officiating.  Burial was held at 4:15 p.m. in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with Rev. Bryan Knowles, Pastor of the Community Fellowship Church in Clarendon, officiating.  Arrangements were under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors.

Mrs. McAnear died Saturday, January 15, 2005, in Amarillo.  She was born August 28, 1952, in Amarillo and was a lifelong resident of the Texas Panhandle.  She married Monte McAnear on September 10, 1985, in Hollis, Oklahoma.  She was a member of Lifeway Fellowship Baptist Church.  She loved books, writing, music, chocolate, and Star Trek.  She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.  She left many friends at Pantex and the Amarillo Public Library.

Survivors include her husband, Monte McAnear of Amarillo; five daughters, Amanda Cox and Ginger McAnear of San Antonio, Andra Coggins and husband Mike of Corpus Christi, Darcy Cates-Chick and husband Tyler of Canyon, and Caroline McAnear of Amarillo; two sons, Kevin McAnear and wife Hillary of Clarendon and Ethan McAnear of Amarillo; her parents, Lloyd and Thelma Gunkel of Amarillo; two sisters, Carol Jones and Cathie Gunkel, both of Amarillo; a brother, Glen Gunkel of Atlanta, Georgia; seven granddaughters, and two grandsons.

The family requests that memorials be to Lifeway Fellowship Baptist Church or the Harrington Cancer Center in Amarillo.
