Angel

Funeral services for Allan Winfred Angel, age 93, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2005, in the First United Methodist Church in Groom with Rev. Weldon Rives, Pastor, officiating.  Burial was held at Groom Cemetery under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc., of Clarendon.

Mr. Angel died Sunday, February 20, 2005, in Plainview.  He was born December 26, 1911, in Groom where he lived until moving to the Plainview area approximately 60 years ago.  He married Frances Marie Johnston on June 22, 1936, in Lelia Lake, Donley County, Texas. He had been a farmer all of his life and was a Methodist.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Angel of Plainview; one sister, Ruby Denton of Groom; a half-brother, James Wesley Angel of Pampa; and several nieces and nephews.
