Funeral services for Wanda Laverne Jennings Coots, age 73, were held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2005, in Robertson Chapel of Memories in Clarendon with Chaplin Bob Thomas of Odyssey Hospice, officiating.  Burial was held in Rowe Cemetery in Hedley under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc, of Clarendon.

Mrs. Coots died Wednesday, February 23, 2005, in Amarillo.  She was born in Windy Valley, Donley County, Texas, on November 1, 1931.  She had lived in Hedley and Amarillo most of her life.  She had worked as both a waitress and cook in several places in the area.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hedley.
