Angel

Funeral services for Dean Angel, age 90, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2005, at the First Baptist Church of Canyon with Rev. David Lowrie, pastor, officiating.  Burial was held at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Brooks Funeral Directors in Canyon.

Mrs. Angel died Tuesday, March 1, 2005, in Amarillo.  She was born on July 19, 1914, in Lelia Lake to William and Mary Elizabeth Bullard.  She graduated from high school at Lelia Lake in 1932 and married Wayland Angel at Lelia Lake on January 20, 1935.  He preceded her in death on October 30, 1987.  They moved to Randall County in 1941, where they farmed and ranched.  She loved to oil paint and was a member of First Baptist Church of Canyon.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Guilbert of Amarillo; two sons, Clifford Angel and Kenneth Angel, both of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
