Funeral services for Jonnie L. Dillehay Stout, age 88, were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2006, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dave Stout, Rev. Scott Jones, and Rev. Mark Metzger, family members, officiating.  Burial was held in Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc., of Clarendon.

Mrs. Stout died Tuesday, January 3, 2006, in Clarendon.  She was born March 12, 1917, in Jacksonville, Texas, to Thomas Henry and Emily Williams Dillehay, and married Rev. John Henry Stout on September 4, 1934, at Jacksonville.  They were residents of Carizzo, New Mexico, prior to moving to Clarendon in 1971.  She was the world’s best mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She was a member of the Pathfinders Club and a member of First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband on December 11, 1986; two brothers; one sister; and by two grandchildren, Susan Babcock Harp and Timothy Ryan Jones.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Babcock and husband Kenneth of Groom; Nell Jones of Clovis, New Mexico; three sons, Dave Stout and wife Linda of Clarendon, James Stout and wife Betty of San Antonio, and Charles Stout of Clarendon; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
