Barbara Gayle Gambill Ford, 63, died Saturday, July 15, 2006 at Amarillo.

Services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2006, in First United Methodist Church in Clarendon with Rev. Bryan Knowles, Baptist Minister, and Chris Ford, family member, officiating. Interment followed at Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon. Services were under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc., of Clarendon.

Mrs. Ford was born October 2, 1942, in Memphis, Texas, to Guy and Pauline Braddock Gambill. She married Earl Ford on November 1, 1985, at Amarillo. She lived at Post before moving to Clarendon in 1979. Mrs. Ford was a bookkeeper for Clarendon College and was awarded Employee of the Year in 2006. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clarendon.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Johnny Dwayne Morrow, on June 7, 2004.

Survivors include her husband, Earl of Clarendon; a daughter, Missy McKeever and husband Carroll of Burkburnett; two step-sons, Chris Ford and wife Terri of Clarendon and Dewey Ford and wife Cathy of Washington, D.C.; and two grandchildren, Tyler and Kyleigh McKeever.
