Lila Kate Monroe, 19 months, died Friday, December 1, 2006, in Amarillo.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 4, 2006, in the First United Methodist Church in Clarendon with Rev. Tom Garmon, Pastor, officiating. Burial was in Rowe Cemetery in Hedley. Services were under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc., of Clarendon.

Lila Kate was born April 11, 2005 in Childress to Troy and Katherine Hoobler Monroe. She had been a resident of Hedley since birth. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clarendon.

Survivors include her parents, Troy and Katherine Monroe of Hedley; maternal grandparents, Tom and Lila Hoobler of Childress; paternal grandparents, Edgar W. and Sandra Monroe of Hedley; Maternal great-grandmother, Flossie Holman of Childress; two sisters, Devon Monroe of Mangum, OK, and Kylie Monroe of Hedley; and four brothers, Paul Monroe, William Monroe, Caylor Monroe, and Collin Monroe all of Hedley; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
