Rosalie Dodson, 85, resident of Emory, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2007, at Senior Care at Lake Pointe in Rowlett.

Her funeral service, under the direction of Quinlan Funeral Home, was Saturday, February 3, at 3:00 PM at Centerville Road Church of Christ. Her graveside service was Monday, February 5, 2007 at Citizen’s Cemetery in Clarendon.

Rosalie was born on March 23, 1921, in Texline, the daughter of Francis Marion and Zelthia Williams Ellis. She worked for Amarillo School District.

She was a member of Centerville Road Church of Christ.

She was preceded in her death by her husband, her parents, 9 sisters, and 1 brother.

Rosalie is survived by two children, Alan Dodson and wife Bobbie of Garland, and Linda Porter and husband Lummie of Emory; grandchildren, Carlan Dodson and wife Michele, Randal Dodson and wife Emily, Kenneth Wayne Porter and wife Tammy, and Sherrie Porter; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Porter, Jesse Porter, Alexander Porter, Chloe Dodson, Michaela Dodson, Craig Dodson, and Alyssa Dodson; and a brother, Charley Ellis of Amarillo.
