David Wayne Lewis, 49, died Monday,
February 12, 2007, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
Services were held
Friday, February 16, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist
Church in Panhandle with Rev. Jeff Matsler, pastor officiating. Interment
was held at Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon under the direction of Minton/Chatwell
Funeral Directors of Panhandle.
Mr. Lewis was born on
January 18, 1958, in Clarendon. He had been a Panhandle resident for 25
years. He married Jackie Donaldson on June 30, 1978, in Allison, Texas. He
was a firearms instructor for Wackenhut Services, Inc. He loved roping and
golf and was a master at smoking and barbecuing.
Mr. Lewis was preceded in
death by his mother, Ruth Roberts Lewis in November, 2005.
Survivors
include his wife Jackie Lewis; son Daniel Lewis and wife Amber of
Weatherford; daughter Daranda Watson and husband Kenneth of Panhandle;
father Jack Lewis of Clarendon; brother Steve Lewis and wife Pam of
Amarillo; and one grandchild Kyle Tate Lewis.
