Fay Barker Graham, 89, died Sunday, February 18, 2007, in
Clarendon.
Services will be held at
10 a.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2007, in the First United Methodist
Church in Clarendon with Rev. Tom Garmon, Pastor, and Rev. Roger Smith,
Pastor of the Community Fellowship Church, officiating.
Interment will be at Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.
Services were under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors,
Inc., of Clarendon.
Mrs. Graham was born
October 3, 1917, in Goodnight to Carl and Nova Hinkle Barker.
She married William Doyce Graham on October 10, 1937, at Ashtola. She had been a school teacher at the Goldston and Ashtola
schools, had worked as a bookkeeper for the gin, and was a banker at the
Farmer’s State Bank prior to her retirement.
She was a member of the 1926 Book Club and was also a member of The
Circle at the First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Graham taught Sunday School and was a faithful worker for her
church. She was a lifelong
resident of Donley County and was a member of the First United Methodist
Church in Clarendon.
Mrs. Graham was preceded
in death by her parents; her husband on September 24, 1984; one brother;
and two sisters.
Survivors include three
sons, Mike Graham of Clarendon, Doyce Graham, Jr., and wife Linda of
Clemson, S.C., and James Graham and wife Rachael of Creve Coeur, MO; one
brother, Don Barker and wife Gay of Amarillo; three sisters, Mildred
Tomlinson of Bartlesville, Okla., Mary Murff and husband Mike of
Clarendon, and Nova Mooring and husband Bill of Clarendon; and one
sister-in-law, Vonnie Barker of Groom; four grandchildren; and three
great-grandchildren.
The family requests that
memorials be sent to the first United Methodist Church in Clarendon.
