David
Neal Johnson, 49, died Friday, July 20, 2007, in Amarillo.
Services were held at
10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 23, 2007, at the Cowboy Church and Arena of
Life in Amarillo with Ty Jones, Pastor, and Dewey Wilson, family member,
officiating. Burial was held at 2:30 p.m. in Citizens Cemetery in
Clarendon. Services were under the arrangement of Robertson Funeral
Directors of Clarendon.
David was born on
April 10, 1958, in Clarendon to Bobby and Charlotte Wilson Johnson. He had
lived in Amarillo most of his adult life and had worked as a truck driver
most of his life. He was married to Sandra Smart on July 30, 2005, at Las
Vegas, New Mexico. He was a member of the Cowboy Church and Arena of Life
in Amarillo. The family would like to say a special thank you for all of
your prayers throughout his life and his illness.
He was preceded in
death by a sister, Lisa Chapman; a nephew, Randy Joe Hill, Jr.; and his
grandfather, Everet “Papaw” Johnson.
Survivors include his
wife, Sandra; daughters Whitney and Crickett; sons Jason and Dustin;
grandchildren Chloe, Kooper, and Brek; his grandmother, Bea “Mamaw”
Johnson; his parents, Bobby and Charlotte; and sisters and their families,
Kay Lynn and Randy, Renee and Ernie, and Shelly and Jan.
The family requests
memorials be to Harrington Cancer Center.
