Howard Quinton Rose, 77, died Sunday, September 23, 2007, in Amarillo.

Services were at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 27, 2007, in the First Baptist Church in Groom with Rev. David Kelly, Pastor, officiating. Services were under the arrangement of Robertson Funeral Directors

Mr. Rose was born January 21, 1930, in Elmore City, Okla. to Logan and Lillie Mae Garrett Rose. He married Mary Helen Mansel on July 23, 1967, at Amarillo. He was a resident of Oklahoma City prior to moving to Groom more than 45 years ago. He had been a maintenance worker much of his life before his retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Groom.

Mr. Rose was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Helen Rose of Groom; one daughter, Terri Rose of Groom; one son, Michael Rose and wife Bethany of Amarillo; one sister, Sandra Jo Peery of Pauls Valley, Okla.; three grandchildren, Brooke, Madison, and Collin; and several nieces and nephews.

The family requests that memorials be made to Groom Ambulance Service or Groom Fire Department.
