Mary Lee
Noble, 93, died Friday, November 2, 2007, in Clarendon.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m. on
Friday, November 9, 2007, in the First United Methodist Church in
Clarendon with Rev. Tom Garmon, Pastor, and Rev. Dr. Janie Sue Noble,
daughter, officiating. Burial will follow at Citizens Cemetery in
Clarendon. Services are under the arrangement of Robertson Funeral
Directors of Clarendon.
Mrs. Noble was born April 17,
1914, in Clay County to William Henry and Minnie Dora Wallis Buchanan. She
was one of fifteen children and was the last surviving. She married Lacy
M. Noble on August 3, 1935, in Clarendon. She had been a resident of Lelia
Lake and Clarendon most of her life where she was very active in the
community, school, and churches. She was a homemaker and was a member of
the First United Methodist Church of Clarendon.
Mrs. Noble was preceded in death
by a child, Billie Jean Noble, and her parents.
Survivors include her husband,
Lacy M. Noble of Clarendon; a daughter, Rev. Dr. Janie S. Noble and
husband Frank Amon of Bolton, England; and two sons, Lacy Lee Noble and
wife Jan of Pampa, and Isaac Noble of Arlington; five grandchildren; and
10 great grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be
to the First United Methodist Church in Clarendon or the Alzheimer’s
Society.
