William
Elvis Waddell, age 76, died Friday, December 7, 2007, in
Amarillo.
Services
were at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 10, 2007, in the Robertson
Funeral Directors Chapel of Memories with Rev. Calvin Burrow, Pastor of
the Jesus Name Apostolic Church in Clarendon, officiating.
Interment was in Citizens Cemetery
in Clarendon under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors of
Clarendon.
Mr. Waddell passed away on Friday,
December 7, 2007, at the age of 76. William was born September 25, 1931,
in Clarendon to John Merrill and Gladys Webb Waddell. He married Emma Rea
Howard on April 10, 1961, in Pampa. He had been a resident of Clarendon
and Amarillo most of his life. He was a proud president of the Ironworkers
Union. He enjoyed gardening, farming, and the outdoors. He was a loving
father who touched many peoples lives who were special to him. He was
baptized as a Southern Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his
parents and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Emma
Rea Waddell of Amarillo; three daughters, Billie Hagen and Tammie Diaz,
both of Amarillo, Vera McCoy of Lees Summit, Missouri; two sons, Michael
Waddell and James Waddell, both of Amarillo; six grandchildren, Angela
Armigo, Theresa Sims, William Lamberson, Kimberly Lamberson, Krista Hagen,
and Andy Hagen; three great-grandchildren, Analiyah Armigo, Morgan
Lamberson, and Aubrey Stallings; and Jim Youngblood, considered as a son.
