Patsy Darlene Wallace “Mamaw” Robertson, 71, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 7, 2008, at her home in Clarendon, which she loved very much.

Mamaw was born September 17, 1936, to Leo Leniel and Ima Poovey Wallace in Heald, Wheeler County, Texas. She attended schools in Ashtola and Clarendon and graduated from Clarendon High School in 1953.

She married Delbert Wayne Robertson on August 8, 1953, in Clarendon. She was a co-owner of Robertson Funeral Directors since 1977.

She was a Sunday school teacher for approximately 50 years. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Clarendon. She was a loving wife, mother, and Mamaw.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2008, in the First Baptist Church in Clarendon with Rev. Bill Hodges, Pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene, and Rev. Matthew Stidham, Pastor of the First Assembly of God, officiating. Burial followed at Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon. Services were under the arrangement of Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter-in-law, Edie Robertson; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Survivors include her husband, Delbert of Clarendon; a daughter, Debbie Thompson and husband Michael of Clarendon; a son, Patrick Robertson and wife Vicky of Clarendon; three grandchildren, Greg Collins of Howardwick, Tiffanie Word and husband Cameron, and Chuck Robertson and wife Lindsey, all of Clarendon; four great-grandchildren, Abi and Maci Collins of Ponchatula, LA; Gavin Word and Aiden Word of Clarendon; and a special grandson, Brayden Phillips of Clarendon; and numerous cousins

Casket bearers were Jerry Asher, Jerry Morris, Bob Kidd, Dean Cook, Jim Lovell, and Joe Lovell.

Honorary bearers were the Clarendon Fire Department, Clarendon Firebelles, other Donley County Firefighters, and the Clarendon EMS.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the donor’s Church of choice, to the Clarendon, Howardwick, or Hedley Volunteer Fire Departments, or to Clarendon EMS.
