Barbara Ann Fraser, 70, died Saturday, July 19, 2008, in Amarillo.

Services were held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, in the First United Methodist Church in Groom with Rev. Tom Moore and Rev. Weldon Rives, officiating. Burial was held at Groom Cemetery in Groom. Services were under the arrangement of Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon

Barbara was born July 8, 1938, in Boise City, Okla. to John D. and Mildred McDaniel Stringfellow. She married Clifford Fraser on January 25, 1958, in Boise City, Okla. She had been a resident of Groom for many years. She had worked in the cafeteria at the Groom schools for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Groom where she had taught Sunday school for approximately 40 years. She was very involved in the church and organized many church functions and activities.

She was preceded in death by her father; and a nephew, Terry Payne.

Survivors include her husband, Clifford Fraser of Groom; her mother, Mildred Stringfellow of Boise City, Okla.; two sons, Rodney Fraser of Garland, and Michael Fraser and wife Lori of Amarillo; a daughter, Vicki Fraser of Amarillo; two sisters, Marilyn Payne of Boise City, Okla., and Carol Stone of Beaumont; six grandchildren: Stephany Fraser, Kirsten Fraser, Tyler Fraser, Meganne Fraser, Teri Dennise Gaines, and Geannie Gaines; and numerous special nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be to the First United Methodist Church of Groom.
