Milford James Potts, 77, died Friday, August 8, 2008, in Amarillo.

Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2008, in the First Baptist Church in Hedley with Rev. Bruce Howard, Pastor, and Rev. Ervin Emmert, Pastor of the United Methodist Church in Hedley, officiating. Burial followed at Rowe Cemetery in Hedley. Services were under the arrangement of Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon. Mr. Potts was born August 17, 1930, in Lakeview to Milford Grover and Estella Gracie Curtis Potts. He married Oretha Sanders on May 29, 1954, in Hedley. He was a farmer and rancher. He had been a lifetime resident of Hedley. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Hedley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Perry Joe Potts; and three sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Oretha Potts of Hedley; a son, James Edward Potts and wife Timber Lee of Hedley; a grandson, James Lee Potts of Hedley; and many other family members and friends. The family requests that memorials be to Rowe Cemetery Association.
