Frank
Deal “Buddy” Wootten III, 64, died Tuesday, January 5,
2010, in Amarillo.
Services
were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 8, 2010, in the Robertson Chapel of
Memories in Clarendon with Rev. Darrell Burton, Pastor of Martin Baptist
Church, and Kim Jordan, officiating. Interment followed at Citizens
Cemetery in Clarendon. Services were under the arrangement of Robertson
Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Buddy
was born son of Frank D. Wootten, II and Evelyn Gorges Wootten in
Evanston, Illinois on September 19, 1945. He married Regina Borden on
April 6, 1974 in Clarendon. He was a Veteran of the United States Army
serving in Korea during the Vietnam War. Buddy graduated from Clarendon
High School in 1965 and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business
Administration from West Texas State University in 1972. He worked in road
construction for 37 years and was a Superintendent for Amarillo Road
Company until his retirement. He has lived in Clarendon most of his life.
Buddy was Lutheran.
He
was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors
include his wife, Regina Wootten, of Clarendon; one son, Greg Wootten, of
Clarendon; two daughters, Kimberly Artho and husband Brent, of Amarillo,
and Christina Newton and husband John, of Midland; one sister, Pat Norrell
and husband Jim, of Edna; two grandchildren, Caroline and Meredith Artho,
both of Amarillo.
